
Work Experience and Employment
After 2 years of working as a carer in Oxford, UK whilst studying English and a year stint of traveling the world she has settled in Kerry where she joined the Physiotherapy team in Bon Secours Hospital Tralee in 2002. During her 19 years in the Bons she has been treating patients in both inpatients and outpatients settings and gained great experience in Orthopaedic, Neurology, Respiratory, Paediatrics, Musculoskeletal and Age related Healthcare.
Additional Training and Courses
Her biggest interest lies in Hand Therapy and she has experience in treating clients with variety of both surgical and non-surgical conditions. Sona has completed several British Association of Hand Therapists accredited courses over last 17 years and she is continuously widening her knowledge in hand therapy to offer her patients the best care. Her hope is to become an Accredited Hand Therapist in the future.
Sona is a member of Irish Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, Irish Association of Hand Therapists and is CORU registered.
